RECREATIONAL DANCE CLASSES

The recreational dance program at Rock City Dance Center is like no other! Students as young as two years old are exposed to multiple dance styles in one convenient class. Our dancers participate in classes specializing in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Hip Hop. Dancers are introduced to a variety of dance and movement concepts, vocabulary, and proper technique. Each recreational class emphasizes a fun, up-beat environment with age appropriate music. All of our recreational classes perform in our annual spring recital.

FUNDAMENTAL DANCE TECHNIQUE

Fundamental technique classes are sectioned by age and skill level. These are open classes for serious students and are the basis of the dance training at RCDC. These classes will not participate in the recital. Classes are 30 minutes to 1.5 hours in length and tuition for these classes will follow the RCDC Hourly Tuition Schedule.

COMPETITIVE DANCE PROGRAM

WE ARE A TEAM. We focus on training dancers not only to be great technicians, but also upstanding young men and women who can work well with others and understand the value of teamwork. The nationally recognized RCDC Company is founded on the pillars of Respect, Character, Dedication and Creativity. These values are the core of the RCDC Company. At Rock City Dance Center, we provide a positive learning experience that is not based solely on winning awards; instead, we promote dancers to use their talents to the best of their abilities. We want every child to be proud of who they are! We serve dancers who love to perform and give them the opportunity to compete and excel on stage alongside their friends and teammates. Company Dancers learn the importance of determination, discipline, and time management; ultimately working hard for what they desire. These skills not only help our students succeed in dance, but also in their future academic, professional, and personal endeavors.
